Tim Flach

Amazing photographer Tim Flach has a series called Dogs Gods that has some incredible reference images of dogs.  A dream come true for a texture artist.  I have been a fan of Tim's work for years and even made a master copy of one of his photos, as a painting.  He was very gracious to let me use it as a reference.  Check out his gorgeous photos here.

EXploding Vegetables

For the VFX Animators out there...  Martin Klimas' new series, ‘Exploding Vegetables’, is created by firing a projectile into different kinds of fruits and vegetables reflecting our shift towards healthy (bio) food and away from junk food.

MultiColor Search Lab

This thing is so awesome. Imagine you are working on design or style frames for a spot. You can search flickr by color and add colors to the search or subtract as you go. The Internet astounds me sometimes and makes me wonder how we functioned without it.

Rollercoaster Faces

I love roller coasters. When I was little, I was terrified of them. Then, as a teenager...I couldn't get enough. I found this link to a series of shots taken by Yvan Dalain at the "Geister-Express" in Zürich, 1956. The facial expression could be a great reference for animation because they are so real.

Kodak - Winds of Change

Just because its funny...

This is a commercial that was produced for internal use. But it has become so popular, especially with employees, that Kodak has released it for external viewing. It demonstrates that Kodak not only understands it's changing business of the digital age but also has a sense of humor.
