I am working in Hollywood - right now...commuting from Venice Beach. The closer you get to the beach, the less you see of these trees (or any other "non-palm trees" for that matter.) So, the drive from Venice to Hollywood has been brightened by the newly blooming jacarandas and the pretty streets lined with trees creating a tunnel of green to drive through.
I am not crazy about commutes and have been lucky enough to walk or ride my bike mostly the past 3 years, but those trees really brighten my day - so much so, I took pictures and had to say so!
